Chair Barcus called the meeting to Order. Chair Barcus welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Introductions: Members and guest introduced themselves.
Public comment: None.
Consent Agenda: There were no items for the Consent Agenda.
Business
Inman DUI Conference CEASE Award
- Chair Barcus explained the CEASE award submitted by himself on behalf of Erin Inman, Montana Department of Transportation who is conducting a DUI Conference in Bozeman on September 12, 2014. This conference is in conjunction with the Annie Rooney Run. Kyla Murray, Bozeman City Prosecutor explained to the group the tragic events that led to a repeat drunk driver ending Annie’s life.
- Chair Barcus asked Mark Lachapelle for the CEASE Committee’s recommendation and Mr. Lachapelle reported that the committee supported the Cease Award. A vote was taken of members and all members present voted to support the Inman DUI Conference CEASE Award.

- Heather Hume presented three sample banners to be used on the DUI Task Force presentation board. Ms. Hume passed around voting slips to solicit support or comments from the Task Force.
Mr. Swanson’s report on the Gallatin County DUI Enforcement Practices and the Gallatin County DUI Task Force
- Scott Swanson presented his study of the Gallatin County DUI Enforcement Practices and the Gallatin County DUI Task Force. After the presentation, there was constructive discussion with most of those present having questions or comments concerning the report.
- Mr. Swanson asked for the Task Force’s support. Mr. Swanson also solicited any concerns to be direct to him. Mr. Swanson reported that he would consider any input before the report was finalized.
Chair Barcus adjourned the meeting at approximately 8:45 pm
